Here are some tips for you!!
Do make your thank you cards personal! Acknowlege the person who sent the gift as well as acknowleging the gift itself.
Don’t send a typed letter with just your signature at the bottom. Email is not an appropriate substitiute for a thoughtful hand written thank you card.
If you receive money as a gift, Do mention what you are planning to do with the money.
Do be prompt in sending out your thank you cards. Try your best to send thank you’s as soon as you receive a gift in the mail, and as soon as you are able to after your wedding.
Do include a photo if you want, but this is not necessary.
Do pick out thank you notes before your wedding, this will make it easier to get started writing after your wedding. Your thank you cards do not have to match your wedding stationery.
“Do remember that a gift should be acknowledged with the same courtesy and generous spirit in which it was given” Emily Post
